Murasaki Shion from Hololive JP is Graduating

On March 6, Hololive published on their official Twitter account, saying that Murasaki Shion from their Second Generation of Hololive JP will be graduating on April 26th, 2025.

The announcement was posted minutes after Shion finished her stream, telling her community about her decision to leave the company on her YouTube channel.

COVER, published an official statement indicating that they will still receive fan letters until April 25th, 2025, and that YouTuber memberships will be available until July 26th, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM (JST).

In regards to merchandise like voice pacts and other merch that includes Murasaki Shion, the official Hololive store released a statement and it said the following:

• Her voice packs will be sold until April 26th, 2025, 11:59 PM, and those purchased will remain accessible even after sales conclude.
• Sales will stop once the stock runs out.
• Already purchased items will be shipped according to the information provided at the time of the order.
• They will not provide refunds, accept returns, or exchange any purchases.

Shion mentioned that she would talk more about this topic on a livestream later on the day of the announcement.

The stream is in Japanese, and currently, there is no official translation, but a couple of fans have tried to translate it to English for Western viewers.

In both cases, they reveal that Shion is leaving due to disagreements with the direction of the company and her struggles with her mental health and physical, as well as the weight of what is expected of her as a Hololive talent.
